Website Rates
Keep in mind no two website projects are the same - you don't want your website to look 'exactly' like any other do you?!
We try to be flexible with our rates...we charge different rates for doing different aspects of your website to allow you to budget to use us as little or as much as you see fit. We can do it all...or only a bit of it.
It's best to contact us so we can custom quote you on a project but you can use these rates as a guideline.
Domain Registration - you have to own a domain and you buy it through a registrar. You can use tools like the one here to search to see if your desired domain is available. Costs are listed there as well ($25 per year).
Domain Hosting - after you buy your domain, you need to house your site on a web server. The requirements of our system is that you have PHP support and can host MySQL databases on your webserver. We can help with arranging web-hosting on a compatible system and/or host on our server - it is configured for the tools we use for website creation and it gives us more control of your website. Includes, web (with PHP & MySQL support), FTP, email, webmail & SPAM filtering. Budget: $180/year for an entry-level system and we can also help with other Managed and/or Dedicated web-servers.
Base Install - web-site installation, configuration and overview. We install the base engine with a few standard themes, set some of the base settings and give you an overview on how to make setting changes and add content. Price: $500-$1000.
Data Entry - if you aren't yet comfortable adding content and want us to enter it for you, we can certainly do that for you. Importing content is also possible and can save you a lot of time and frustration. Price: $30/hr
Consulting/Planning/Training - we'll work together with you to plan and educate you on the additional modules that can be added to your site to increase functionality. Price: $30/hr.
Module Installation and Configuration - installation of additional modules. The site can be customized to add a tonne of functionality and there are a lot of stock modules that cover most of the functionality you could possibly want. New modules are released all the time too. Price: $65/hr.
Module Customization - sometimes base modules don't have the functionality you desire and can be modified to make it work with your site. This is an advanced service that may require additional time to program. Most work we can pre-estimate the amount of time that will be needed to achieve what you need. Price: $100/hr.
Theme Customization - there are a lot of fantastic base themes. Usually you can find a base theme that suits your functionality, style and matches your desired site layout. There is often some desired tweaking of themes though and that is an extra service we can help with.
** if you are or have a graphic/web designer that has experience with "CSS", they could easily implement your existing identity. Price $100/hr
Site Updates - the base engine of these websites are like a computer operating system - they require maintenance and upgrades that have to be manually installed. "Updates" are usually minor security fixes and feature additions to contributed modules. We recommend having us do a quarterly report on what updates are out for your site and modules and allow us to quote you on what it would take to get you updated. Don't leave these reports go too long or your site becoms very outdated (and possibly unsecure!). Think of it like an oil change.
Report price: $100
Updates price: $100/hr (most updates, as long as they are minor, are 3 hours max)
Site Upgrades are major updates and could very well require updates or overhauls on your theme, stock modules and especially custom modules. We recommend doing a lot of planning before jumping into a major upgrade as it is a lot of work at times. The reason for upgrading would be for MAJOR functionality improvements. We do custom quotes on assisting with this and you shouldn't be concerned too much with budgeting for upgrades on brand new sites.
